Texas Cranberry Cheese Spread

This is definitely a different tex-mex taste, but the spices and contrasts of flavor work beautifully for a holiday dish. This is best as a make-ahead dish. I mix it up a day or two before serving to get the full marriage of flavors and spices.
1 can whole berry canberries
1 can (4 oz )diced green chiles
1 T lime juice
½
tsp garlic salt |
½ tsp cayenne pepper
½
tsp chili powder
¼
tsp ground cumin
8 ounces cream cheese |
Combine all ingredients except the cream cheese. Mix thoroughly. Store in the refridgerator until ready to serve. To serve, pour over cream cheese. Serve with your favorite crackers. |
