Candy Wreath
Makin' a List...
This easy wreath makes a sweet family gift. A simple craft, I
made one of these in about an hour while watching Little House.
You will need:
7-inch craft ring
12' craft cord
3 lbs wrapped candy*
bow
single strand of florists' wire
*Candy should be wrapped so that it has a "tail".
- Tie the center of the craft cord to the ring.
With one side of cord, make a slip knot around the ring, leaving
the loop
open.- Insert 3 pieces of candy by the tail into the loop.
- Pull the loop tight, holding it tight to make the next slip knot.
- Repeat steps 3 and 4 until the ring is half full of candy.
- Tie off string at the bottom by making several tight slip knots.
- With the remaining half of the cord, repeat steps 2, 3, and 4 until the ring is completely filled with candy.
- Tie off string at the bottom by making several tight slip knots.
- With florists' wire, fasten a large bow to the wreath.
- Tie a loop of craft cord to the top of the ring, opposite the bow.
